About Julia:
I decided to purse massage therapy as a career when I was changed by the healing hands of another therapist.
I have been an executive assistant for most of my adult career and wanted a change, something new and exciting where I could make a difference. I had been searching for many years trying different career paths. Most of us never find something we truly love or are passionate about and I feel blessed to have found my calling.
I had suffered from muscle aches and pains for many years and had been through chiropractic care which helped resolved some of the early issues, but over the years I realized I had other muscular aches and pains that weren’t healed by chiropractic therapy.
I basically sat at a desk all day and was experiencing muscle spasms constantly for about a month or two before my doctor suggested “a good therapeutic massage”. So I began my search and had minimal luck in the beginning and never really felt completely pain free until I had a deep tissue massage from one therapist who changed my life. Not only did I finally find the relief I was looking for, I found my passion. I knew in my heart I could do this and provide the same kind of relief for so many others who suffer from musculoskeletal pain.
Why did you become a Massage Therapist?
I suffered for years with neck and back pain and during this time tried different methods, finally about 3 years ago I had been introduced to deep tissue massage for my muscle spasms and received profound healing and change by a Massage Therapist. This made me realize the healing power of massage and it clicked. I worked my way through school while working and now have decided to practice full-time.
